Described as "a rising star in the gospel genre" by New Release Today, Travis Green is set to lift you higher than you've ever been lifted before.
Named Billboard's 'Gospel Airplay Artist of the Year 2016' and nominated for a staggering 13 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, and countless other awards including two Grammys, Travis Greene is one of this era's true living legends.
He was pronounced dead twice before starting kindergarten, lost his father at an early age and turned to music as a distraction. "It was God's way of giving me an escape from tragedy and crisis. I turned to the keyboard instead of to drugs and the streets. Any instrument I put my hands on I was able to play,", he told New Release Today.
He learned to play a range of musical instruments whilst travelling with his mother, Charleather Greene, a prolific minister, whilst she preached and turned to music and instrument learning rather than drink and drugs.
At 18, he performed his first own-music gig at a women's prison in Georgia, where his mother was preaching, and went on to become a workshop leader at Georgia Southern University where he used his talents to break down the cultural and moral barriers around the campus and met his wife.
Today he has a number one album The Hill and two number one singles Made A Way and Intentionalunder his belt, but stays grounded, focusing on his mission to inspire others with the glory of God.
